About Fox Cities HD

TV as we've known it for decades is going away February 17, 2009. That's a good thing. We're starting to see more and more crisp, beautiful digital television channels emerge all the time.

Are you going to be ready?

Fox Cities HD is an independent website dedicated to informing the public and demystifying digital and high-definition television in the Fox Cities (Appleton/Menasha/Neenah/Oshkosh, WI) area. We hope that Fox Cities HD will help those in our area who are going to make the digital TV leap know what they're getting into. We also want to help those who already have digital televisions get the most they can out of their investment.

The authors of Fox Cities HD do not work for television media or electronics sales industries, nor do we accept any form of advertising, and hope to present as neutral a position as possible when making recommendations.

We created this website as enthusiasts of high-definition television, with the hope of cutting through the sales pitches, jargon terms and buzzwords... to present an informative, balanced picture of what is out there in the Fox Cities in terms of DTV programming and technology.

Fox Cities TV (formerly Fox Cities HD) is an independent blog and reader-driven community for television lovers in the Green Bay, Appleton and Oshkosh, Wisconsin area.  We aim to be a place where TV watchers in Northeast Wisconsin can come to learn about what's happening in local (and national) television, interact with other TV viewers and express themselves about TV issues.

The website was created and is managed by Mark David Zahn, an avid Internet, entertainment and electronic enthusiast.  He currently resides in Appleton, WI, where he makes his living in radio and dabbles in computer building, web community building, independent media, high-definition TV and home theater.  Mark can be contacted directly here.
