For what its worth, if you have a Sam's Club membership, you can get the same unit for $44.88
I'm out of stock on them right now, but have 72 more on order that should be in by the 25th. This is for the Appleton Sam's Club, I'm not sure of Green Bay's stock status.

Brad...

Is Sam's Club a participating retailer for the DTV Converter Box coupon program?

(ie. if I bring in my coupon, will I get mine for $4.88 plus tax?)

Yes, we are. We've been

Yes, we are. We've been able to accept the coupons since June 6th.

Just a heads up: Sam's Club

Just a heads up:

Sam's Club received a new shipment of converter boxes over the weekend. There were only 23 remaining when I left work this afternoon. We still have 72 on order as well.

Mark: I hope you don't view this update as spam or anything like that. I don't get any sort of commission and lots of people have been complaining that they can't find the converters anywhere (and that their coupons are ready to expire). I'm just letting people know we have them available.

Update #1: We sold out of the remaining converter boxes Monday night (6/23) but received our shipment of 72 this morning (6/24). There are still about 65 in stock.

Brad...

It's no problem at all and I thank you for keeping us updated. I went out last week to try to find a converter box myself to see how easy (or hard) it was. It was kind of difficult to find one at most places. Wal-Mart and Sam's were, then, both out. Circuit City was out. Radio Shack was out. Best Buy West Appleton had almost a couple hundred of the Insignia model stacked up in their TV department though, which is what I got. (FYI everybody -- It's the exact same thing as the Zenith)

I still want to pick up one of those Magnavox models before June 30th to do a review on it though. I just saw in Consumer Reports that they reviewed this higher than the Digital Stream model at Radio Shack, which is the complete opposite of what I hear from actual users. I'm curious, so hopefully I can pick one up. My second coupon expires on the 30th.

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the heads up Brian. I swung over to Sam's around 5:30 today and picked up one. It looked like half your shipment was already gone. There were two people in line ahead of me picking up both their couponed boxes.

Brian?! I'll let it

Brian?! I'll let it slide....THIS time.

Anyway, we are still out of stock on the converter boxes but my next shipment of 72 should be arriving in the next week or two. Check back for further updates.

I just received another

I just received another shipment of 72 converter boxes this morning.
